I joined ArborGen in February 2025, bringing with me over 28 years of hands-on forestry experience in East Texas. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of the industry, from boots-on-the-ground forestry operations to high-level land management. I now serve clients across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas, helping them navigate everything from reforestation to final harvest with strategic, results-driven insights.
My career path has been anything but conventional, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Over the years, I’ve held diverse roles, including district forester, environmental consultant, herbicide application sales specialist, and Senior Land Manager overseeing more than 450,000 acres. This breadth of experience has given me a unique perspective on forest management, equipping me with the knowledge to guide landowners in making informed, sustainable, and profitable decisions about their timber assets.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Forest Management from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1990, laying the foundation for my career in forestry. Beyond my professional life, I take great pride in my 11 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, where I developed leadership skills, discipline, and a deep sense of commitment that continue to shape my approach to forestry and land stewardship today.
When I’m not working with clients or exploring the great outdoors, I cherish time spent with my family. I’m a proud husband, father to three wonderful children, and a grandfather to one beautiful granddaughter. Forestry is more than just a career for me—it’s a lifelong passion, and I’m dedicated to helping landowners make the most of their resources while ensuring the sustainability of our forests for generations to come.
